Brooklyn Academy of Music Community Affairs & Audience Development Intern, (Brooklyn, NY) - posted Monday, January 07, 2008 Brooklyn Academy Of Music (BAM) Seeks - Community Affairs & Audience Development Intern for Winter-Spring 2008 Intern required in exciting, busy office 20 hours per week Responsibilities include: Mailings: labeling envelopes and stuffing letters liaison with community groups and other cultural organizations Assist in community outreach efforts and target/niche marketing for BAM's main stage, cinema, and live music programs Maintain community and audience development mailing lists using Tessitura software Distributing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and postcards Internet research and writing Attend community events and festivals with Community Affairs and Audience Development Manager Assist in planning community events and receptions Excellent learning opportunity for college student. Must be computer literate and possess excellent communications skills. Some office and/or performing arts experience required. Internship includes many opportunities to see complimentary performances and films.
