Tony Award-winning actor Ruben Santiago-Hudson talks about his responsibility as part of the fraternity of “August Wilson actors”; his desire to direct the complete 10-play Wilson cycle of plays, having begun with the two in which he appeared on Broadway (Seven Guitars and Gem of the Ocean); the experience of adapting his own life into Lackawanna Blues for both stage and television, and the challenges of producing work which portrays the diversity of African-American life and issues in film and on television.
