William Ivey Long
WILLIAM IVEY LONG (Costume Designer) Currently has three shows running on Broadway: Young Frankenstein; Hairspray (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Awards); Chicago. Other New York credits include: The Ritz, Curtains, Grey Gardens (Tony Award); The Producers (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Awards); Sweet Charity; A Streetcar Named Desire; La Cage Aux Folles (Hewes Award); The Frogs; Little Shop Of Horrors; The Boy From Oz; Susan Stroman's Double Feature at the New York City Ballet; Cabaret; Contact (Hewes Award); The Music Man; Annie Get Your Gun; The Man Who Came To Dinner; Swing; The Mystery Of Irma Vep; Steel Pier; 1776; Smokey Joe's Cafe; Crazy For You (Tony, Outer Critics Circle Awards); Guys And Dolls (Drama Desk Award); Madison Square Garden's A Christmas Carol; Six Degrees Of Separation; Assassins (Obie Award); Lend Me A Tenor (Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Awards); Nine (Tony, Drama Desk, Maharam Awards); Robert Wilson's Hamletmachine; Leonard Bernstein's A Quiet Place and Trouble In Tahiti: Vienna State Opera, LaScala, Houston Grand Opera, and the Kennedy Center; Paul Green's The Lost Colony; Mick Jagger for the Rolling Stones' Steel Wheels tour; Siegfried And Roy at the Mirage Hotel; The Pointer Sisters at Caesar's Palace, Paul Taylor; Twyla Tharp; Peter Martins; David Parsons, Susan Stroman. Mr. Long is currently working on the upcoming Broadway productions of Nine To Five and Pal Joey. He was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame in January 2006.
