ROB BERMAN recently won the Helen Hayes Award for best musical direction for Sunday in the Park with George at the Kennedy Center's 2002 Sondheim Celebration. Last fall he was the conductor of A Man of No Importance by Ahrens and Flaherty at Lincoln Center. He has worked as associate musical director for several productions in the Encores! series at City Center. Music direction and conducting credits include The Pajama Game on Broadway, Wonderful Town on Broadway, White Christmas (music supervision), Omaha Symphony with Audra McDonald. On Broadway, Rob was conductor of Andrew Lloyd Webber's By Jeeves and has been associate conductor for productions such as The Music Man, Little Me, The King and I, and State Fair. At the Prince Theater in Philadelphia, Rob has musical directed productions of Floyd Collins, Candide, and Lady in the Dark starring Andrea Marcovicci, and he has also conducted a national tour of A Chorus Line. He has toured with Faith Prince, serving as musical director for her one woman show, A Leap of Faith. He has lived in New York for ten years, currently resides in Brooklyn, and is a graduate of Yale University. He was Executive Vice President of Zoetrope Studios, Executive Producer of Francis Ford Coppola's One From The Heart and Co-Producer of the live-orchestra presentations throughout the world of Able Gance's Napoleon. He was the Vice President of Radio City Music Hall and Executive Producer of Porgy And Bess and Ice.
