NELL CARTER earned a Tony Award for her performance in Ain't Misbehavin', and played the dastardly Miss Hannigan in the Broadway revival of Annie. Carter's six-year stint on the popular TV series Gimme a Break earned her two Emmy Award nominations. Film: Hair, The Proprietor, The Grass Harp and Modern Problems. Recordings: Ain't Misbehavin' (original cast album), To Life! Chanukah and Other Jewish Celebrations; and her favorite Misbehavin'!, a benefit concert with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. She frequently performs her act in the most prominent nightclubs from Las Vegas to Atlantic City.
