John Pielmeier

Film/Television: Agnes of God (Writers Guild Award nomination), Choices of the Heart (Humanitas Award, Christopher Award, WGA nomination), The Shell Seekers, The Last P.O.W., Through the Eyes of a Killer (not his title), Reunion (co-writer), Original Sins (also producer), The Rescuers: We Are Circus, Forbidden Territory, The Happy Face Murders, Flowers for Algernon. Theatre collections: Haunted Lives and Impassioned Embraces, both published by Dramatists Play Service. Voices in the Dark was first read at St. Louis Rep, first presented at Bigfork, commissioned by and first produced at A Contemporary Theatre. It received the 1999 Edgar Award, given by the Mystery Writers of America for Best Play. Mr. Pielmeier is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild and The Writers Guild of America, East, and a proud alumnus of New Dramatists. He is married to author/book-artist Irene O'Garden.
