DAVID CAPARELLIOTIS recently opened his own casting office, MelCap Casting, with business partner Mele Nagler to cast for theatre, film and television. David will continue his 13-year relationship with Manhattan Theatre Club by casting three-to-four shows for them a year, in addition to artistic consulting. Most recent MTC projects include Theresa Rebeck's Mauritius, Inge's Come Back, Little Sheba, Liz Flahive's From Up Here, Adam Bock's The Receptionist, the upcoming To Be or Not To Be (directed by Casey Nicholaw) and Romantic Poetry (a musical written and directed by John Patrick Shanley). Other notable MTC credits include: John Shanley's Doubt and Defiance, David Lindsay-Abaire's Rabbit Hole, and David Auburn's Proof. In addition to MTC, David and Mele are casting the current Williamstown Theatre Festival summer season, the Broadway revival of August Wilson's Fences, the West End transfer of Pedro Almadovar's All About My Mother, and shows for the Atlantic Theatre Company, ARS NOVA and a number of regional theatre companies. David's past freelance projects include Shockheaded Peter, My Name is Rachel Corrie (directed by Alan Rickman), The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Altar Boyz, Modern Orthodox (directed by James Lapine), Lifegame, The Subject Was Roses for the Kennedy Center, and the Off-Broadway and National Tour companies of Jonathan Larson's Tick, Tick...Boom! David is an adjunct professor at Syracuse University and a member of the Casting Society of America.
